HAP Consultants has appraised a proposed project in South Africa under the Danish Public Private Partnership (PPP) Programme. The project - proposed by a consortium of six Danish and South African companies and organisations – is aiming at developing and introducing technologies for mobile solutions for literacy training and skills development. A special module is dedicated awareness raising on HIV/AIDS. The Appraisal Mission activities included site visits where possible revisions to the proposal were discussed to enhance the project including: 

·          involved project partners and stakeholders

·          project objectives and outputs

·          milestones and indicators

·          budget and time schedule

·          project organisation and management 

A revised project document was produced and assessed applying the development criteria of the PPP Programme. The project was recommended to receive financial support from the PPP Programme to cover some 60% of the costs.
